Practicalities

Our fully equipped rustic service area provides you with two great
piping hot showers, a roll top bath, three flush toilets, two
washbasins and next door is the kitchen area.
The kitchen area has two electric ovens, six small fridges (one per tipi and yurt),
kitchen table, food storage space, sink, all crockery, cultlery ,
teapots, saucepans, frying pans etc, mugs, cups and wine glasses. We
also have ecover washing liquid, extra lights and cloths. Just bring
your own tea towel please and thats it. We also have extra
electrical sockets for you to use.
As seen on the
interactive map, the three yurts are in front of the
service area and in a central area there is a outside under canvas
eating/dining area. As seen in the photo above. If you take the
entire site all 30 people should fit under the canvas here.
On the left of the service area further into the woodland the three
tipis are situated. Inbetween Robin Tipi and Lark Tipi there is
another communal under canvas eating area with two wooden tables and
seating.

The site is a car free zone, except when its dry White Thorn Farm
bring their produce down in the van on friday evenning at 6pm. So no
worries for those with small children. The car park is situated in
the farm yard the otherside of the woodland fencing, where you will
find wheelbarrows to take your luggage and food down to the site.
The furthest tipi is no more than 150m approx from the carpark.
The woodland is well fenced from the lane and the farmyard for maxium
safety.
We can provide washing machine and drying facilities for those with
small children/babies. Travel cots can be provided at request. We
have two wooden highchairs too.
All you need to bring; sleeping bags /duvets, bottom sheet, pillows,
torch, tea towel and your food.
All the tipis and yurts have a king sized bed raised of the ground
with good mattresses and there are singles foam mattresses for the
children or extra adults.
The Bake House
We have a Bake House/Hut on site next to the kitchen and shower area. Inside is the clay earth oven. Reciepes for pizzas and bread are available.
It is a fantastically wholesome activity for all the family, send the children on an adventure to collect wood from our ancient forest (25 metres away), whilst you feed the fire and relax.
We regret that we are unable to accommodate dogs.
