About Us

The tipi and yurt site is part of our family run farm.
There are 11 acres of beautiful woodland to explore with
picnic tables placed in the clearings and reached by well
established tracks. You have the complete freedom of this space.
Being an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there is a huge variety
of plants and wildlife making it a nature lovers heaven and a child's
wonderland. You may be lucky and see some rare orchids in the grassland
valley which is also a great place to see the sun go down.
We have another 6 acres of ancient woodland to the left of the valley.
This adjoins the tipi and yurt wood. Carpets of bluebells grow here in
abundance in this truely magical woodland.
As well as being passionate about safeguarding and encouraging our local wildlife we are also passionate about the details and uniquness of the site. We believe its the special touches that will make your stay a memorable one.
Practicalities
Our rustic service area provides you with hot showers and flush lavatories. For 2008 we have added a lovely roll top bath for you to soak in.
Adjoining is a kitchen area with 2 ovens, cooking equipment, washing up sinks and several fridges.
If dining or picnicing in a large or small group, you may want to use the large tables under a canvas roof. The site is a car free zone. We provide wheelbarrows to help you load and unload your luggage - the tipis and yurts are only a short distance from the car park.
We aim to be as child friendly as possible. The area is gated and fenced from the farmyard for maxium safety.
We can also provide washing machine facilities for those with young children. Travel cots can be provided on request. Two wooden highchairs are also on the site.
All you need to bring is your bedding, (sleeping bags or duvets plus a flat bottom sheet), pillows, towels, food and torch.
We regret that we are unable to accommodate dogs.
