Among the most positive feedback we have received from our guests over the years, is how the site offers children of all ages, the opportunity to experience a totally natural adventure of pure freedom and space.

The woodland is mainly flat, well fenced and safe. There are woodland tracks to explore, swings to find, many trees to climb and lots of materials for den making and bows and arrows. Not to mention the excitement of building campfires and toasting marsh mallows! The woodland is their magical playground.

Another element to the woodland is that the children love to chance to spot many creatures. There are badgers, foxes, buzzards, squirrels, chickens and rabbits for a start as well as many other birds. Oh yes, the owls hooting at dusk is quite magic as well!

So while the children are busy and happy, the adults can take advantage of the hammocks and simply relax.

Harriet claimed the rope swing outside our yurt for her very own and went on it approximately every 30 seconds! Jem loved the freedom to run around without Mum and Dad on his back.
